How can we know whether what we are seeing is real or a dream- or if there is a difference between the two? The famous Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi once told a parable of when, after waking from a dream of being a butterfly, he wondered if he were a butterfly dreaming of being a man. With this artwork, I show that reality is relative and that you can never be sure which viewpoint represents reality.
More than 1,500 people worldwide die a day from cancer. My project investigates the idea that in the future we will be able to solve this problem by detecting cancer early. Once we have the sign of the first unregulated cell differentiation, then we can prompt our bodies to intervene and prevent the cancer from metastasizing through biological drug delivery.

Humans have long since thought of themselves as “masters of the universe.” Along with this ideology, they have come to see animals as instumentalities merely here to serve the needs and desires of humans. However, there may be more to animals and their intellectual capacities than meets the eye.
